Marquette Kennel Club

Marquette Kennel Club hosts four all breed dog shows over a three day period. 300 pure bred dogs compete at the Marquette County Fairgrounds.

Different opportunities:

Working the gate - volunteer stops all vehicles entering, determines if they have paid for admission, and if they have not, accept payment and give them their permit. Volunteers on Wednesday and Thursday will also be directing some individuals to campsites. Materials and training will occur at the time of the event.
Concessions - all food will be cooked ahead of time - volunteers will be putting food on plates and accepting payment.
Ring Stewards - ring stewards assist judges in the ring. In obedience and rally, this involves giving participants their armbands, calling dogs into the ring (training occurs at show). In confirmation, this involves handing out armbands, calling dogs into the ring and laying out ribbons for the judges (there will be a training prior to the show on campus, and at the time of the show)
