"It's Good to Be Rich: Why Liberalism Works," an Evening with World-Famous Economist, Historian, Rhetorician and Transgender Advocate, Prof. Deirdre McCloskey

Students, faculty, administration, staff and community are cordially invited to this very special event—a lecture followed by Q&A with one of the great minds of our time, Dr. Deirdre N. McCloskey, Distinguished Professor of Economics, History, English, and Communication at University of Illinois at Chicago. McCloskey's talk will explain how it is that the world has gotten exponentially wealthier since 1800 and will continue to get richer, to the benefit of everyone.

Presented by the Center for Academic Intellectual Freedom in cooperation with the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship, as a part of its "Your Wealth Lecture Series," and cosponsored by the Department of Economics at NMU, with generous support from the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University.
