Sonderegger Symposium Student Proposal Submissions

On November 1, 2019, the Center for Upper Peninsula Studies and the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University will be presenting the 18th annual Sonderegger Symposium. This year, the theme for the symposium will be, “Anishinaabek: East, South, West, North.” This interdisciplinary symposium will focus on many aspects of Anishinaabek life, both past and present, including traditions, faith, history, environment, foodways, economics, governance and many other potential subjects.

NMU Student Proposals-

The Beaumier Center has set aside at least two sessions for student presentations. Presentations should be 20-25 minutes in length, to allow for 5-10 minutes for questions.

-Title for the proposal

-An abstract of your presentation including information to be covered and expected outcomes. (Maximum 500 words)

-Your most recent curriculum vitae or resume.

Deadline for all proposals is Tuesday, October 1, 2019.
