Boating Safety Course Offered

Boating Safety Course Offered

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will again be offering its About Boating Safely (ABS) course on three consecutive Tuesdays, April 9, 16 and 23 from 6:30-9:30pm in the Superior Dome. Registration will be the night of the first class.

The ABS class will include sessions on introduction to boating, boating law, safety equipment, navigation, trailering, and more. This course is geared for everyone from the novice to the seasoned mariner. There will be a final exam. Successful completion qualifies the graduate to receive a certificate of achievement  which is recognized by most insurance carriers for vessel insurance discounts, state and local law enforcement agencies and the United States Coast Guard.

Course fee is $35 for materials. There is a $5 fee for each additional family member who would share a text book.
