The online application for the winter 2018 semester BSN program will be open from September 1 to October 1, 2017 at http://www.nmu.edu/nursing/application. If you have completed or are enrolled in fall 2017 semester for all BSN prerequisite courses*, you must apply to be considered for admission to the BSN program. If needed, contact your adviser for the appropriate semester for you to apply. The BSN application for winter 2018 admission will close on October 1 at 11:59 p.m. and no late applications will be accepted. The application will require attachments. The requirements will differ depending on your academic history. Our guidelines require you to attach the following: A copy of your unofficial NMU student transcript. Include current semester of classes & GPA. (This can be requested through your MyNMU Student Services tab and saved as a .htm, .html or .pdf file.) A NMU Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) and unofficial transcripts for all colleges or universities you have attended if you have earned less than 12 credits at NMU. If not previously provided to the School of Nursing or changes have occurred, Post Baccalaureate students transferring pre-requisite courses from another institution must complete the “Post Baccalaureate Prerequisite Check List”. This form can be found by following this link: http://www.nmu.edu/nursing/sites/DrupalNursing/files/UserFiles/Post_bacc_checklist.pdf, and is also available on the NMU Nursing website. The student must print this form and bring it to the Registrar’s office (2202 Hedgcock) to be completed. Allow 5 business days for processing. This form is then to be picked up from the Registrar’s office by the student and submitted to the Nursing office (2301 New Science Facility) in an envelope sealed and stamped by the Registrar. This is due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 2. If you have received AP (advanced placement) credit for or Chemistry (CH109 or CH107/108 or CH111/112) you will need to attach a copy of your official scoring report from the College Board.
