Using Handshake to Post and View Jobs

Using Handshake to Post and View Jobs

During each orientation session in the summer, Career Services holds two informational workshops for students. During these workshops, we give students a list of current job openings. If you have a job opening and would like it advertised to these ten different groups of students, please post your job in Handshake (or email it to careers@nmu.edu and we’ll post it for you).

Handshake is our all-in-one web system for students, faculty, staff, employers, and alumni.  We currently have over 10,300 employers in Handshake and that’s steadily growing! On average, our office approves 30 new employers (from all over the world) and 100 jobs (full-time, part-time, summer jobs and internships) into Handshake each day!

With Handshake, you can:
1.     Post on-campus jobs and internships (including Graduate Assistantships)
2.     Manage and receive applications online
3.     Register online for job fairs
4.     Search for available jobs with your students
